The main goal of stretching is to increase range of motion. In order to do this we have to teach the muscles to relax. During massage we use passive stretching, meaning you relax completely as we stretch you, and active stretching, meaning we’ll ask you for some assistance by resisting or pushing yourself to your limit before we intervein.
